緊急記者会見のお知らせ
８月１３日、ビルマ軍事政権がついに総選挙の
日程を発表しました。ビルマ民主化のために日
本
で活動しているわたしたちビルマの少数民族
は、この政府発表を受けて、この総選挙の実態
と、
今後の少数民族の政治運動の展開について、多
くの日本人のみなさんに知っていただきたく、
緊
急記者会見を開催させていただきます。
お話ししていただくのは、現在来日中のクン
マーコーバン氏であり、氏はビルマ少数民族の
政治
活動における最重要人物のひとりです。
１１月７日の総選挙にむかってうねりはじめた
ビルマの現状に関心を持つみなさんのご出席を
お待ちしております。
《クンマーコーバン（KHOON MARKO BAN）
氏紹介》
ビルマの少数民族のひとつであるカレンニー人
の政治家。１９９０年の総選挙において当選し
た
国会議員であり、現在は国外から少数民族の政
治運動を率いている。ビルマ連邦国民合同政府
（NCGUB）の連邦民族問題大臣と、民族合同
民主連盟・解放区（UNLD-LA）の議長を務めて
いる。
